As designers its second nature to pay attention to detail and more so, to pay attention to design aesthetics. Unfortunatly, this was a challenge with the Dis-Chem logo on many digital media platforms. The logo made a majority of the designs less striking and appealing. The vision was to simplify the clutter the logo caused especially on social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. The proposal was simple, modern and effortless. Sticking to the typeface was all that needed to happen in order to successfully execute the design message on social media. Yes, thats right, just by simply removing the green outer block and the subheading, the dischem brand shed a huge amount of clutter and looked healthier and sexier than ever, especailly on our favourite platform, Instagram.
